The approximately 4 km distance means the route is relatively short; it does not mean that the entire trail is flat or effortless.

The route includes uphill sections, stone steps, and uneven natural mountain paths, so basic walking fitness is required. We recommend wearing non-slip athletic shoes or hiking shoes suitable for mountain trails and bringing drinking water, rain gear, and appropriate outdoor clothing according to the season.

In the event of severe weather, trail closures, or other conditions that may affect safety, traveler safety will take priority, and the hiking section may be modified or canceled depending on actual conditions.

Kumano Kodo hiking routes often have different starting and finishing points.
